In Home Services

Relationship Coaching—For Couples

  When is in-home relationship coaching appropriate?  When couples want:

• To avoid the risk of encountering someone they know on the way into the therapist’s office.
• A longer session (2-3 hours) or more frequent sessions (a couple times a week)…as insurance often will not pay for this level of service.
• To benefit from the HEART program, but prefers a more intimate setting.
• Both individual and couple sessions in the same day (something insurance typically will not cover).
• To add to the total number of sessions available to them (in addition to insurance-covered sessions).

In-Home sessions are for private pay clients only, meaning that Ms. Gebhart does not work with insurance companies for this level of service. 

Relationship Coaching—For Parents

Ms. Gebhart is a trained facilitator of the “Love and Logic for Parents” approach and frequently provides “Love and Logic for Parents” classes in the area as a contract worker for Catholic Family Services.  Ms. Gebhart has found that attending the classes are enough for some parents…but others would appreciate some continued coaching in this area. 

What are typical reasons to have in-home coaching for parenting issues?  When parents find that:

• Talking about the situation in therapy is not helping to bring about a change.
• Their schedule prevents them from going to a class or therapy.
• They need an objective, third party involved in the situation at home.
